Gagasi FM and Heart104.9FM have taken another step forward in their quest to supercharge efforts to deliver value to their advertising partners. As of 1 May 2014 a partnership with United Stations will replace the sales contract previously held by Mediamark. The focus of this partnership will be a unified marketing and sales approach to pursue national initiatives that meet advertisers growing needs to reach and engage consumers in powerful new ways.

We believe we can improve our share of the national market and this approach allows us to communicate as a single voice nationwide and allows United Stations to truly be an extension of the stations”, explains Gary Petersen MD of Heart104.9FM. The move has resulted in a number of exciting appointments at United Stations, including that of seasoned marketer Jody Foster, previously Head Of Sponsorship at Discovery.

Jody comes with extensive experience of developing and implementing, marketing and advertising platforms for top brands. “With Heart104.9FM and Gagasi FM also on board, we have the largest commercial radio audience united under one roof and a dream team in place to create and execute uniquely powerful solutions for our advertising clients” says Rivak Bunce MD of United Stations. GagasiFM and Heart104.9 are working closely with United Stations and Mediamark to ensure a seamless transition of all ongoing campaigns by 1May 2014.

The choice of United Stations was prompted not only by their track record, but more importantly because of their commitment and ability to provide us with dedicated resources and a tailored strategy”, added Vukile Zondi, Managing Director of Gagasi FM.
