“Coloured President” to hit Jozi

Posted by radio On September - 16 - 2014

Joburg audiences are in for a treat as Durban’s most successful comedian, Carvin H Goldstone, brings his new side-splitting one man comedy show, Coloured President, to the stage at Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City on Saturday, 27th September.

In association with Proudly Coloured Comedy, Coloured Presidentis a clean, no-swearing affair suitable for the whole family. The show enters the political comedy arena with views on South African and world politics and of course what South Africa would be like if it had a Coloured president.

Carvin’s hilarious family-friendly comedy has won him audiences across the country.  Describing what audiences can expect from this show, Carvin says, “This is my most daring and colourful show – lots of off-the-wall ideas, on-point impersonations and some everyday characters in some not-so-everyday situations.”

“With my previous shows, I introduced myself, my character and my skills to the SA comedy audience.  With Coloured President I am going to stretch those comedy skills and ideas to their absolute limit, but I’m going to do it and still keep it clean and family-friendly, which is always the biggest challenge for comedians.”

Fans may remember Carvin as the hilarious and colourful MC at the recent Proudly Coloured Comedy shows at the Lyric Theatre earlier this year.  He enters the Joburg comedy scene after a sell-out performance of Coloured President at the famed 1200-seater Playhouse Opera Theatre in Durban.  He has also performed the show in Port Elizabeth, Cape Town and Bloemfontein.

“I have been performing the show across the country and I can promise audiences that this will be one of the funniest one man shows they have ever seen.”

Carvin H Goldstone has also opened for the Loyiso Gola, Stuart Taylor and Joey Rasdien.

The show will also form part of a DVD recording.
