Final MTN Bushfire programme announced

From across Africa and beyond, a unique array of musical and artistic talent will on display in what promises to be MTN Bushfire’s most diverse and dynamic line-up to date.

 

With multiple stages and activity streams, May 26-28th will be jam packed with a diversity of musical styles that span the spectrum and the globe.  The full MTN Bushfire Festival programme has now been announced and can be accessed on the website www.bush-fire.com.

 

Tickets for the Golden Lounge are already sold out as the Glamping (VIP Camping) option provided by Harambee, so make sure to avoid disappointment and book your ticket and accommodation now.

 

MTN Bushfire Stages

With four stages this year, The Main Stage, Bacardi House on Fire Stage, The Barn and the newly added FireFly Stage, guests can take their pick of artists. The Main Stage will see MTN Bushfire headline acts including Hugh Masekela, GoodLuck, Bombino, Baloji, TKZee, Jah Prayzah and Jeremy Loops amongst others.

 

The Bacardi House on Fire stage features an exciting and eclectic line-up that includes Jojo Abot, The Kiffness, Mute Band, Ben Dey & The Concrete Lions, Trenton & Free Radical and many many more.

 

The more sedate Barn stage will provide a relaxing and diverse line-up that includes film screenings, open mic sessions, as well as live performances from Dusty & Stones, Hanwah, Floewe, Sutherland and Black Rhino amongst many others.

 

MTN Bushfire 2017 is also thrilled to announce the newest addition to this year’s Festival, MTN Bushfire Firefly STAGE, proudly sponsored by MTN, which gives budding local artists the chance to perform alongside top regional DJs. More than 100 local artists from a variety of genres entered a competition to perform on this stage and 3 winners were granted the opportunity to grace the Firefly stage during MTN Bushfire 2017.

 

Handcraft & Design Marketplace and Global Food Village

In addition to the full entertainment line-up, once again MTN Bushfire offers an amazing array of handmade local craft for sale in the MTN Bushfire handcraft & design marketplace welcomes sustainably sourced, quality products that are strictly handmade from recycled or natural and environmentally friendly materials. The Space is an ethical consumer’s dream, with each company or artisan contributing in a positive way to the environment and their communities.

More than simply a market, The MTN Bushfire Handcraft & Design Marketplace is an experiential space where creative curiosity is inspired and revived.

 

Proudly sponsored by TOTAL, the MTN Bushfire Global Food Village is a celebration of food delicacy presenting a diversity of culture inspired gourmet street food by the most seasoned vendors. Festival goers are invited on a savoury journey of the senses with tantalising tastes from East Africa, the Mediterranean and back to the heart of traditional Swazi huts. Explore other pockets of the festival to discover delicious pop up cafes that Fuel the fire in your belly!

 

Kidzone

MTN Bushfire never forgets about the kids! Set in a blooming wilderness of succulent and outlandish trees, MTN Bushfire Kidzone is an adventurous space for young fire starters to ignite their budding flames. Offering an array of stimulating and fun-filled activities ranging from storytelling, sculpting, music workshops and high energy lawn games; the secured space is a perfect place for the whole family. Each year, the festival works with a special theme for the Kidzone that inspires creativity, engagement and skills development for toddlers all the way up to teens.
