Aji Bi,Under the Clock Tower |Raja Saddiki | Morocco | 2015 | 66 min

The film follows the small community of Senegalese women who are living and working in Casablanca, in limbo between “regularisation” in Morocco, or attempting to “cross” to Europe. With humour and sensitivity, the film documents their daily life, as well as their struggles – trying to organise themselves and survive in a Moroccan society that is at the same time generous and hostile.

The Revolution Won’t be Televised | Rama Thiaw | 2016 | 110 min

Thiat and Kilifeu, Senegalese activists and underground hip-hop singers, lead this one-year revolution against President Wade, until his fall in 2012. But what is beyond a revolution? Will the two friends succeed in their 17-year long quest for recognition as musicians? By highlighting an emerging African urban youth movement, the revolution won’t be televised, but it will be documented.

Jalanan  | Daniel Ziv | Indonesia | 2013 | 108 min

Boni, Ho & Titi are three gifted, charismatic street musicians in Jakarta. Jalanan follows these young marginalized musicians and their never before seen sub-culture, while also painting a striking, moody and intimate portrait of Indonesia’s frenzied capital city.
