MTN Bushfire 2018: New ticket options

Posted by radio On March - 12 - 2018

Winner of the African Best Responsible Event Award in 2017, hailed by CNN as one of the “7 African music festivals you really have to see,” and listed by BBC as a “Top African Festival,” MTN Bushfire is a holistic experience made up of a rich texture of arts, cultures, crafts, food markets, and specialized zones that combine to create an explosive three-day event and a memorable take home experience.

MTN Bushfire recently announced a host of new ticketing options and festival elements designed to increase the convenience, security and enjoyment of the full-festival weekend.

Two exciting developments, that of MTN Bushfire becoming a cashless environment, and the news that camping will open on Thursday night, are both designed to make the entire festival weekend more enjoyable and secure.

With these new exciting developments, MTN Bushfire has also changed its ticketing options with a focus on the full festival weekend experience. Full festival tickets will now also be linked to an armband that will enable a seamless, entry mechanism linked to a unique individual armband that will enable a cashless experience at all the food and bar vendors.

Following on the latest trends in payment systems, guests will be able to create an online account before getting to the festival. They will then receive an armband linked to their ticket that enables tap and go payments at bars and food vendors on site. Throughout the weekend guests can top-up at various top-up stations. This exciting new development will ensure less time in queues and more time taking in the MTN Bushfire experience.

In order to facilitate an ever better MTN Bushfire weekend, and alleviate the major traffic and border-related issues, MTN Bushfire is excited to welcome campers on-site from Thursday May 24th. MTN Bushfire 2018 camping will open on Thursday, for campers only, from 12 noon.  Campers will have access to Malandela’s restaurant in the festival area from 4pm on Thursday.

Main gates for general festival goers will open at 4pm, Friday May 25th.

With the yearly demand for full festival tickets growing ever year, and with a focus on improving the overall weekend experience, which is now a full 3 days,  only Single Sunday tickets are available NOW at local Swazi outlets and online, with a full and exciting line-up planned for the day.

MTN Bushfire encourages everyone to celebrate throughout the festival weekend and buy tickets via the MTN Bushfire website as soon as possible as full festival tickets sell-out every year well in advance of the gates opening.

Tickets are on sale NOW for MTN Bushfire via the website and from MTN service centres in Mbabane (Corporate Place), Manzini (Riverstone Mall), Ezulwini (Shak’s – Gables) as well as House on Fire in Malkerns.

Please note: MTN Service Centres ONLY accept cash and NOT debit/credit cards. House on Fire accepts Mastercard and VISA
