Global dance supreme was a great success

Global Dance Supreme, an event took place this past weekend and put young talent on the map. Dancers from countries such as Angola, Zimbabwe and South Africa had the opportunity to take part in the very first Global Dance Supreme dance.

The event took place in a space of four days, at The Randburg, Walter Sisulu Hall, from 13th September to 16th September.

 

The Inter-continental battle included dance styles such as popping, breaking, Krump, Afro-styles and an open category. The battles included 2×2 and split into two divisions, 16 years and under and 17 years old and over.

Joining the workshop and judging panel the event included the world’s best choreographers and dancers. South African choreographer, Rudi Smit, Candace Brown and Spartan an American Krump choreographer. Bhudda Stretch, who worked on Michael Jackson’s Remember The Time, will do separate hip hop workshops on the 8th and 9th of September respectively.

2nd place – Megatronz

3rd place – Airclipz
