SABC 1 brings you The Live SAMA 25 extravaganza

It’s that time again for one of South Africa’s most anticipated top award honors, the South African Music Awards. In celebrating its 25th year anniversary SAMA 25 boasts a string of legendary stalwarts and pioneers in the media industry with Melanie Bala and Bob Mabena as hosts to throw back to music etched in South African history. The ceremony will be taking place this Saturday, 01 June 2019 at the Sun City Superbowl, in Rustenburg.

 

With SABC1 as the official broadcast partner of the night dubbed “galaxy of stars” viewers will be able to tune into the exciting live music award ceremony on Saturday, 01 June 2019 from 20h00-22h30. For those with a love for all things beautiful, a live broadcast will begin at 19h30 for a red carpet experience with Mzansi’s hottest personalities.

 

 

This iconic night of accolades and memorable moments will feature veterans, trending musicians and in celebration of the SAMA 25th anniversary it promises to be a fun filled ceremony that will keep viewers on their feet and reminiscing of the good times.

 

 

In support of SAMA 25 Mzansi Fo Sho’s leading music show Live Amp hosted by DJ Lamiez Holsworthy and Dj Speedsta will broadcast live from Sun City on Friday, 01 June 2019 at 19h30 and give a glimpse of the throw-back to the 90’s with hit maker Thebe closing off the show.

 

 

The South African Music Awards are the music industry’s platform to display their standards of excellence and show case the quality and hard work of producers, engineers and musicians in the South African music landscape.  The event has always been a key strategic tool used by the channel to build brand equity, drive and grow audiences. Tune in for an exciting celebration of South African Music for a night to remember.
