SABC looking for weather presenters

FREELANCE WEATHER PRESENTERS REQUIRED FOR THE FOLLOWING TV NEWS BULLETINS:

  1. XITSONGA
  2. TSHIVENDA
  3. ISIZULU
  4. ISIXHOSA
  5. ISINDEBELE
  6. SETSWANA
  7. SEPEDI
  8. SESOTHO
  9. SISWATI
  10. ENGLISH
  11. AFRIKAANS

 

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:-

 

Presentation of weather shows “live” on television news KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:-

  • Interpret weather maps for live television news broadcasts
  • Alert and warn viewers about severe weather conditions
  • Present weather reports “live” on television;
  • Do live interviews with fellow presentors

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:-

  • Undergraduate qualification in, journalism, media studies or related field
  • Added advantage Meteorologist/Geography degree
  • Good command of the first language
  • Television presenting skills
