MTN Bushfire Announces Camping Upgrades

Posted by radio On October - 1 - 2019

Taking place from 29 – 31 May 2020, MTN Bushfire is more than simply a music festival. As one of Africa’s largest and most inclusive festival of music and the arts, MTN Bushfire has earned its global reputation as a distinctly African, yet globally-infused festival experience.

MTN Bushfire annually welcomes close to 30,000 admissions hailing from over 60 different countries, who make the journey from near and far to the peaceful Malkerns Valley of Eswatini. For the past six years the festival has completely SOLD OUT so guests are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets and accommodation early.

Every year, MTN Bushfire undergoes innovative upgrades to improve the overall festival experience. MTN Bushfire 2020 will offer an upgraded Golden Lounge, improved and expanded camping options, as well as the diverse and eclectic mix of music, arts, and culture that makes it such a unique and memorable experience.

The high demand for the festival’s Golden Lounge area has inspired some new and exciting developments. For the 14th edition of MTN Bushfire, our guests can look forward to up-graded experiential lounges, premium service and a new and improved toilet block in the extended Golden Lounge area. For easy access and ultimate comfort, the space will also now have two entry and exit points.

All Out Africa Camping

The official camping area at MTN Bushfire, managed by All Out Africa, has grown in popularity over the years and next year it grows in size, comfort and adventure. It is conveniently located on the Amaswazi Farm at House Fire, within a walking distance to the festival arena. Open from Thursday 28 May to Monday 01 June 2020, the All Out Africa Bushfire Campsite offers the ultimate festival camping experience and direct access to the festival.

With plenty of space and 24-hour security, the site has a true festival atmosphere.  In 2020, the campsite will be relocating to a different position, with some exciting new additions: extra space for campers in some of the zones, a new Zen Zone and some campfire activities.

Camping is one of the best ways to immerse yourself in the full MTN Bushfire experience and the team is committed to ensuring a peaceful, memorable, yet fun-filled camping experience for all.

Campers are therefore reminded to heed awareness of the festival’s strong focus on tolerance, inclusion, safety and security for all. Campers are requested to respect each other’s space, privacy, and above all to be part of ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

The official MTN Bushfire Campsite is set up and managed by All Out Africa

MTN Bushfire’s family-friendly atmosphere thrives in an exclusive camping area designed for families with children aged 16 or under.  In the camping area available to families only, festivalgoers have the option to put up their own tents and equipment.  This section will be fenced off from the rest of the campsite and will have exclusive access to those with family camping wristbands only.

If you wish to bring your own tents then you have two choices; camp in our large open BYO (Bring Your Own) zone or pay a little extra and set up your tent in a shaded area known as the BYO IN THE FOREST zone.  All camping tickets are available online EXCEPT for groups over 20 Pax that are asked to email tours@alloutafrica.com to make their bookings.

PLEASE NOTE: All campers must have their Full Festival pass before purchasing their camping tickets. As in previous years, only those with full festival tickets will be permitted to enter the campsite. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the event. They can only be purchased through pre-booking online.
